The mediaeval city of Český Krumlov in southern Bohemia looks as if it came straight out of a fairy tale and is rightly included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The narrow lanes in the attractive historic town centre are lined with houses from the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods when the aristocratic Rosenberg, Schwarzenberg and Eggenberg families shaped the city’s history. In this city, time appears to have stood still. During the excursion you will make a brief detour to České Budějovice, a royal town dating back to the 13th century which is famous for its delicious beer and the skill of its brewers.
