Karlovy Vary

Karlovy Vary

Karlovy Vary is perhaps one of the most famous spa resorts in the Czech Republic. Its history began in the 14th century, during the reign of Emperor Charles IV, and down the ages famous personalities such as Tsar Peter the Great and the writer Johann Wolfgang Goethe have taken the waters there and praised their healing properties. However, Karlovy Vary is also known for its world-famous crystal and porcelain as well as the herbal liqueur Becherovka. The excursion begins with a tour of the Becherovka Museum where you will have an opportunity to sample the herbal liqueur. You will then follow your tour guide into the city centre to see the famous Vřídlo spring, which rises to a height of up to 17 metres. After lunch, you can either use your free time to take a leisurely stroll through the well-kept resort or enjoy the warm water in the outdoor swimming pool of the Hotel Thermal (please remember to take your towel and swimsuit!).

Included in the price: Lunch and admission to the Becherovka Museum
