Since the year 2007, the Annakirche, a little-known Baroque jewel in Vienna's first district, is opening its doors for a series of Advent concerts. The programme covers a wide range of music from Viennese classicism to the most beautiful Advent songs - a joyful and peaceful evening that will put you in the right mood for the forthcoming Christmas festivities and which should simply not be missed.
The magnificent frescoes by Daniel Gran, who also painted the cycle of frescoes at the Karlskirche, have recently been restored. Proceeds from the concerts will go towards the restoration of the Annakirche.
